 The Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) is seeking Tribunal Officers to work in our Melbourne Registry.

We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible, and reliable people with a “can do” attitude and the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced work environment.

Our Tribunal Officer roles are flexible and are broadly responsible for providing support for the operations of the Tribunal. Tribunal Officers may work across any division of the AAT and perform a range of functions.

Depending on where you’re needed, in these roles you may:

  • provide great client service and administrative support to internal and external stakeholders
  • efficiently manage cases to support hearings or alternate dispute resolution practices
  • provide direct case management, case analysis and administrative support to Tribunal Members and/or Conference Registrars
  • analyse applications to assess appropriate review pathways
  • assess and determine requests from clients for fee reductions and access to case documents
  • review case files to identify issues and to prepare case-related information and correspondence
