NCAT – Guardianship Division: Senior and General Members – Part-Time (Sessional)
The Attorney General is seeking applications from qualified persons for appointment to the following roles within the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal:
- Part-time (sessional) Senior (Legal) Members
- Part-time (sessional) Senior (Professional) Members
- Part-time (sessional) General (Community) Members
Applicants for the role of part-time (sessional) Senior (Legal) Member must be Australian lawyers of at least seven years’ standing.
Applicants for the role of part-time (sessional) Senior (Professional) Member must have a relevant professional qualification (such as a medical practitioner, psychologist, or social worker) and have special knowledge, skill, or expertise in assessing or treating persons to whom the Guardianship Act 1987 relates.
Applicants for the role of part-time (sessional) General (Community) Member must have experience with persons to whom the Guardianship Act 1987 relates, such as people with dementia, mental illness, acquired brain injury, intellectual disability, stroke, eating disorders and other cognitive impairments.

Members assigned to the Guardianship Division are required on occasion to travel throughout NSW.
