The Administrative Appeals Tribunal is looking for candidates to fill multiple roles available in the Law and Policy Branch. We are seeking three Lawyers to work in the Legal Services – Social Services and Child Support Division team, and a Legal and Policy Officer to work in the Legal and Policy team within the Branch.
The Law and Policy Branch provides legal services that span a range of administrative law jurisdictions, including social security and child support, migration and refugee and the national disability insurance scheme, as well as corporate law (contracts, employment law), freedom of information and privacy.
There may be opportunities for the successful candidates to work across other areas of the Law and Policy Branch.
A merit pool will be created to fill future like vacancies in the Law and Policy Branch, including the Migration and Refugee Legal Services team.
To be eligible for these roles, you will need well-developed legal advice/legal policy advice, research and analytical skills, well-developed organisational, written and oral communication skills including legal drafting skills, and be a team player..
